For us, it began during a season when our family spent a great deal of time at the Alberta Children's Hospital. Every Wednesday, the unit hosted a simple tradition called Pizza Night for children and their families.

What caught my attention wasn't just the pizza. It was what happened around it. For a little while, strangers became neighbours. Families shared a table, children laughed together, and conversations started naturally. In a place filled with uncertainty, a simple pizza dinner created moments of comfort, connection, and community.

As the weeks went by, I found myself thinking back to my travels in Italy, where pizza was crafted with care: hand-stretched dough, fresh ingredients, flame-baked to bring out simple, honest flavours. It wasn't just something to eat. It was something people gathered around. That's when the idea for Slice Story was born.

What if we could bring that same quality and experience beyond the walls of a restaurant? What if great pizza could travel to neighbourhoods, farmers' markets, festivals, and community events, meeting people wherever life happens?

Today, that's exactly what we do. From our mobile kitchen, we serve handcrafted, flame-baked, Neapolitan-style pizza made with quality ingredients and a passion for bringing people together. And because our story began in a community that gave so much to our family, every pizza sold also contributes $1 to support Alberta families facing childhood cancer.
